IODe illustrates djnn’s flexibility for supporting multimodality and iterative design processes. IODe is a cockpit prototyping platform, developed by Ingenuity i/o in collaboration with Airbus, ENAC and Intactile Design. Developed in 3 man-month, it allows the designers to progressively explore and build rich interactive software solutions, by:
- connecting various input devices (eye tracker, Leap Motion, voice recognition, tablet computer, sensors, Makey Makey) and programming multimodal fusion between them (eg. voice + gesture)
- automatically switching from a display to another on hot-plugging (eg. video-projection to tablet computer)
- updating the graphical design automatically when the designer saves his/her work in the graphical authoring tool.
